Writing

The Desert Lamp

From 2008 to 2011, I was a co-founder and blogger at the Desert Lamp, an independent student news blog designed to make student media more competitive and student government more accountable. In addition to in-depth coverage of campus policy and politics, I organized advocacy projects to directly influence policy. We won a $10,000 prize and were named the best libertarian college bloggers in the US. You can see all of my posts here, but these are a few of my favorites:

Arizona Daily Wildcat

I was opinions editor of the Arizona Daily Wildcat for the 2007-2008 school year. I wrote staff editorials almost every day and a column every week. The online Wildcat archives are in bad shape, but you can read most of my columns here and editorials here. Here are a few examples:

Elsewhere

  • I wrote an article on the Millenial Generation for UA Alumnus magazine.
  • I keep a personal blog on Tumblr. Once in a while, I’ll post an essay or high-concept Sherlock Holmes fan fiction.
